Born Gold // Bodysongs

Do y'all remember that release from Gobble Gobble back in '09? Perhaps the soaring, catchy-as-fuck chorus of "Wrinklecarver" is still reverberating in the back of your eardrums. If so, rejoice! Gobble Gobble has returned under a new name, Born Gold, to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step. Their brand of glitchy electro-pop is catchier than ever. Bodysongs is a compilation of the group's most noteworthy singles and is out now via Crash Symbols.
The best part?
It's free.

Jovontaes // Mountain Pass

The latest Woods LP, Sun and the Shade, has a very blatant kraut-rock influence. This added experimentation is why it has been OnRepeat since its release over the summer. The slow and spacey grooves of das kraut is now showing up on the sixth release of Hello Sunshine, the sister label of Woodsist. Jovontaes is a Lexinngton-based trio whose debut LP, Things are Different Here, was recorded entirely at Void Skateshop in the group's hometown. Below you can check out "Mountain Pass," an improvised 7 minute cut from said debut.
